In view of current developments in the situation surrounding the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, and with respect to measures put in place by the government of the Czech Republic, here’s an overview of current restrictions in place at Decin’s most visited attractions.
All events at the castle have been canceled. Tours and exhibits are also closed. If you have already purchased tickets, you may redeem them at the castle cash desk.
The zoo remains open with the exception of the bird house, which is closed under bird flu prevention directives. The Rajske ostrovy (Paradise Islands) exhibit on Teplicka ulice is closed.
The theater and the cinema have canceled all performances and screenings. If you have already purchased tickets, you may redeem them at the box office.
The entire swimming complex and its services are closed to the public.
All branches of the library are closed until further notice. Return dates for borrowed materials will be automatically extended.
The municipal visitor centers in the main library and the main railway station will remain closed until the end of the declared state of emergency, currently 11 April 2020. For more information contact info@idecin.cz.
The museum is closed to the public until further notice.
Events that do not exceed 30 participants may take place. All HC Decin hockey games have been canceled. Public ice skating is also canceled.
All restaurants and similar facilities are currently closed.
Traffic on the Elbe Bike Trail into and out of Germany is not allowed until 12 April 2020. The border is closed. In the Decin area, this pertains to the Hrensko/Schmilka crossing.
