Starting from the second half of the summer holidays, the city of Děčín will begin the reconstruction of the concrete road in Dolní Žleb. The work is expected to last about five months. During this time, tourists and cyclists should expect increased traffic on the Elbe Cycle Path.

The Elbe Cycle Path is the only accessible route for trucks carrying construction materials and waste to reach Dolní Žleb. The restrictions will apply from the cycle path past the new railway bridge. Due to the inability to pass through all the underpasses beneath the railway, freight traffic cannot use the local road above the railway corridor. Users of the cycle path should anticipate increased traffic mainly on weekdays, but also partially on weekends.

The reconstruction of the concrete road is necessary as it is in very poor condition. Instead of the current concrete panels, there will be an asphalt surface.
