Train of Bohemian Switzerland
Every tourist will enjoy the train of Bohemian Switzerland. Although the line is intended mainly for hikers, it also offers bicycle transport in a smaller capacity on selected days and times. Therefore, always check if there is a bicycle icon for the ride.
Cycle buses in the Decin region
Do you want to cycle to the heart of Bohemian Switzerland or to the largest table mountain in the country and you don't want to go up a steep hill? Take the cyclobus. There are several of them available in the region.
Free line to the zoo
Use the bus to the Zoo in Děčín during the main summer holidays. In July and August it runs every hour on every day. There is also a free shuttle service on the line.
Ferries
Ferry Velké Březno - Povrly
This ferry is an important link between the two banks of the Elbe in the area between Ústí and Děčín. It is a type of the so called clamped ferry, which does not have a motor and uses the current of the river. It carries hikers, cyclists and cars and trucks. It is 130 metres long.
Ferry Dolní Žleb
The ferry in Dolní Žleb is the northernmost and lowest ferry in the Czech Republic. It connects the most remote part of Děčín with the right bank and is widely used not only by local residents but also by tourists.
Ferry Hřensko - Schöna
Border ferry on the lower Elbe river from the Schöna train station to Hřensko for tourists and cyclists.
Ferry Kurort Rathen
The ferry in the small German town of Kurort Rathen, which connects the banks of the Elbe, is not far from the border. It is most often used to approach the Bastei rock bridge on the right bank of the river.
Viewpoints
Děčínský Sněžník
One of the oldest stone lookout towers in Bohemia is situated on the largest table mountain in the Czech Republic. Děčínský Sněžník with its 723 m above sea level will attract you with a charming view of the Lusatian Mountains and Czech Switzerland.
Wolf Mountain
In the Šluknov foothills there is the unique Vlčí hora (Wolf Mountain), which gives you a view of the national park and the Elbe Sandstone region.
Falcon Hill
You don't have to go far for lookout towers in Děčín. One is located right above the town and offers a view of the entire Děčín region.
Lookout tower Janov
Near Děčín there is Janovský vrch with a lookout tower, from which you have a beautiful view of the Czechoslovakian Switzerland.
Viewpoint Rosie
Go to the unusual lookout tower Růžová, the viewpoint of 2018.
Great Chlum
The town is set around the Elbe River, nestled in volcanic hills and sandstone cliffs, occasionally running up to the peaks. These offer panoramas you won't find anywhere else. There is a wealth of sights to choose from.
