Tisá walls

Tisá walls

The nature trail through the Great and Small Walls will surprise you with many passages, overhangs, openings, rock gates and towers. It is ideal for a visit with children. You can return along the ridge of the walls following the red sign "views of the Bohemian Central Highlands". Access is possible from Tisá or the Tourist Hut, in summer there is a paid entrance. The hike to the Tisza Walls will take approximately 4 to 6 hours. We recommend starting first thing in the morning.

Tisá is a long-standing and ideal place for climbers and adrenaline sports enthusiasts. There is a shop with mountaineering equipment, a restaurant and refreshments for visitors and of course a souvenir stand. The "Ostrovské skály" (Ostrov Rocks), which are located in the village of Ostrov (approximately 4 km along the yellow or red marked trail), are also part of the Tisské Stěny.

Our tip

Take advantage of the cross-border line 217 on the Pirna - Tisá - Sněžník - Rosenthal - Königstein route and plan a hiking or cycling trip on this route. For example, you can get on the train in Tisá or Sněžník and head to Rosenthal. From there it is a nice hike via Hercules Columns, Grenzplatte, Ostrov to the Tisza Walls and Tisza. This beautiful hike is 12 to 14 km long depending on exactly which way you go.
