Sokoli Vrch viewpoint

The viewing platform on this telecommunications tower affords a great view of the Decin area. The climb of 162 steps is well worth it. It’s a popular destination for cyclists. The meadow below is a great place for flying kites and model airplanes.

Getting there

You can drive up to the tower or take bus 212 and get off at the final stop (Decin-Folknare). From there it’s a 2 km walk through the woods.

The tower is open July-August from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Vlci Hora viewpoint

Six kilometers outside of the northern town of Rumburk, at an elevation of 581 meters, lies the four-sided watchtower atop Vlci Hora.

Decin, a city set in the Elbe river valley, among volcanic hills and sandstone bluffs, occasionally makes its own run for the hills. When it does, fantastic panoramas open up. There are a number of viewpoints to choose from.
