A new section approximately 380 meters long will connect the Elbe Trail and the Ploučnice Cycle Path, replacing a part of the current cycle route that runs along a busy road. Currently, the entire connection between the two cycle paths runs along the road near Kaufland and the ice rink.

"This route is used not only by locals for commuting and leisure activities but also by cycle tourists. Thanks to the new connection, both cyclists and pedestrians will feel much safer here," says Ondřej Smíšek (Our Děčín), Deputy Mayor for City Development and IT.

The construction also includes the installation of cables that will connect the ice rink, the aquapark, and Březová Elementary School, which will be used for photovoltaics and new public lighting of the cycle path.
