The area where the trail is located needed time to recover from the bark beetle calamity. By not letting loggers or tourists in, the local nature was able to recover a little.

During 2024, the remaining dryland areas were removed using forestry practices that minimize damage to the unique nature here. Thanks to this, the green marked hiking trail could return to the site (source: NP České Švýcarsko).
